When you phone this number you will have a horrible women answer the phone and you will not be able a word in edge ways she is rude and thief. Search google for Credit Portal, there should be one says contact Credit Portal which will say something about not being able to access due to robots but go on it and fill in details, in the comments list amount of refund due and yet to keep it short and sweet as only gives you certain amount of words. I got a reply email about a week or so after stating a full refund will be given in 3-5 working days and of course never thought I would hear any more but I got my full refund so do it

I had 2 lots of £19.95 taken from my account and when I rang them, I was told that I had signed up for Credit Portal- an online credit rating checker- and the fact that i was slightly peeved about the fact I had £40 taken in 2 days whilst unemployed was 'my own fault, as I should read what I'm signing up to'. I may of possibly signed up to a free trial but I would not simply forget about something I had entered my bank details into,not to mention the fact that I have no reason to sign up! Also after reading through the their Terms it states that 'a sum of £19.95 will be taken each month' so even if I had signed up there would be no reason for them to take it twice in two days! Anyway, after quite a heated argument with the absolutely vile woman I also had the reply that I would get a refund in ten days! This refund was offered to me before I had started complaining which begs the question, Why would I be offered a full refund automatically if I had signed up to this service?

I'd like to know which bank you work for. Natwest refunded me four payments (although five were taken) then Portal disputed. Natwest asked me for my version which was.... I have never asked for a credit check, never would online, I was on holiday at the time they say I agreed to the check, they took the first payment two days before the date they say I agreed, they have taken five payments but the contract they emailed Natwest states just one. I have had no email from Portal (I checked my junk mail) to tell me how to log on to their service which proves we had no agreement. Natwest emailed me back basically saying they are refunding Portal the money they refunded me! I have no way of proving I didn't apply for this, apart from what I have said above. I am so angry with Natwest!

Please go to your bank they will give you a refund!! My.sin had the same happen to him and it went on for a year with portal cr taking £19.95 a couple of times a.month, sometimes twice a day. Got a refund of £1300 so well worrh checking out hope this info is useful to all of you..He didnt bother calling the rude lady just went to his bank.

Hi. I also had £19.95 x 8 deducted out of my account. My bank refunded me, and said this is Fraud. I then received a letter from my bank saying it is not fraud and that I had signed an agreement. They sent me a copy of my application form ( no signature) date of birth incorrect also mobile number incorrect? I rang the company and spoke to a rude lady no refund. This is now in the hands of Action fraud.

If you are here reading this then it is to late as you've already had money taken out your bank account by these con artists. I bet you have applied for a pay day loan and put your details into a few possibly got your loan then the day you've told them to take payment CR Portal have hit you with a £19.95 charge for using their credit report server? You ring them up to complain and get what can only be described as the rudest women on the planet with the IQ of a packet of werthers originals who sounds like she is chewing a car tyre who could not care less about your needs and the fact they have stole money from you and will also talk to you like you are stupid. By the end of the phone call you'll have ruined your chances of a refund because if you are like me you will have called her every name under the sun and wished heart ache on her. Not really worth the £19.99 they take off you but it makes you feel much better afterwards. In a nutshell your money is gone and your left in a raging mood.

I am expecting a tremendous phone bill.Give them seben days to refund your money and if it doesn'thappen contact them ahgain and say you will be contacting the newspapers and your MP and make sure you do it. I've had 3 payments taken from me in less than 3 week. I reported them to my bank who are currently investigating the CPA (continuous payment authority) which basically happens when you use your card to pay for something. The bank has reinstated 2 payments. The only other thing you can do is to report your card missing so the bank should send you a new card, and this will stop CP Portal trying to take money as the card number they are using is no longer in use!

I rang and spoke to a young lady called Jessica who was I have to say very helps and polite and cancelled all further payment and promised a refund within 10 working days. They have taken 19 payments of 19.95 over the past couple of months, on one day they took that money out of 4 payments of 19.95 in one day! I've been desperately trying to get my money back but they are so so rude! I went to the bank to explain the situation and they gave me my money back but a couple weeks later took the money back as they have accounted me liable and that it wasnt actually fraud! Tell your bank to cancel the card and give them details of some of their scamming. Why the fraud squad have not shut these down? If the bank try to tell you it is your fault, do not accept it and submit a formal complaint with details.

Tried phoning the company up all they were saying if I want a new loan I couldn't put across that they were charging me for a service I don't even need. So instead just to save the hassle I just ordered a replacement card since the debit number (the big long number) and the security code at the back changed they cannot withdraw any money from my account. C portal, CP portal, Portal CP etc are the same guys. 4 transactions came out of my account within 3 DAYS. Being angry was an understatement. Not hesitating, I immediately phoned my bank's fraud team who cancelled it. Tried to use the contact number they gave to me, tried 6 times, got through once, I work in hospitality, I've deal with rude people, bit this horrible bitch was on another level. I have had the same problem here.. £19.95 taken out of my account each day. I've called up my bank which is Barclays and they've raised a fraud case. It's worth calling your bank for. My bank wrote a cancellation request to this so called company but they've managed to take another payment so obviously ignored the banks request. I didn't bother phoning up this so called company, I called the bank straight away and they've said anytime these scumbags take money.. Barclays will reimburse the money back in the next working day. Better than being bitten on the backside I suppose. Takes the mock when I go to work and earn my money and this happens.. worth you guys calling up your bank and asking them to raise a fraud case then you're protected :)

I've got the same problem but portal w rang the number but no answer just a message saying due to bad weather more staff will be available tomorrow, rang back still no answer. This company has taken over £100 from me and the bank have said they will stop it but as it's a card payment and they have my account details it's hard to stop them! 2 payments of £19.95 taken today 2 yesterday and so on and so on. My own fault looking for loans but I'm not letting this lie, I'm getting the police involved now it may be a small amount to some but I'm a single mum and need every penny I earn!! Also going to contact the trading ombudsman see what they can do.

I had 19.95 taken from my account by this company.I called to cancel and to get a refund.I spoke to some sexy sounding american woman but Everybody here is saying they phoned the number and spoke to an extremely rude woman but whomever I spoke to was very reasonable with a gorgeous sounding voice who complimented me on my name (bradleigh) she told me I would receive my refund within 3-5 working days or possibly sooner.so fingers crossed I'll get it back soon.hold tight for an update.

Done a bit of background research into credit portal, and found that they're just a front for MDX solutions, a company which has had 2 registered name changes with no declaration of a 3rd. Their last name change was october 2014, 8 months before the first post popped up on here. It's highly likely that the reason for the previous 2 changes was because they ended up in trouble over something like this. any one with this problem please contact your bank as soon as you notice it Come out. I phone my bank (Barclays) and they reversed the money straight back into my account as It was still pending. He said you will notice the money come back out again and when it does you have to call you bank again and raise a dispute for them and you have to say you need a CAT cancellation which will stop the direct debit coming out your account and tell them the name on your bank statement of the company that's taken the money and they will permanently refund your money and stop any further transactions

Took £19.95 out of my account 5 times. When I realised the actions were pending I asked.my bank TSB, to stop the transactions which they said they couldn't. I then tried to get in touch with credit portal myself but to no avail, apparently there is bad weather conditions were their offices are. And this has been the case for 3 months. My bank initially refunded me the money but are now saying they want it back. Is there anything I can do to stop this? As I've emailed credit portal and got no response.

So when you apply for a loan because you're in urgent need of money, another company takes advantage of your situation and tries to plunge you even further into debt by signing you up to something without you realising. These vultures are an absolute disgrace and need to be dealt with before they can scam more people out of money they clearly don't have.

I checked my bank this morning and found that this company had taken £19.95, called the number and woman said she'd sort it but it was 12.03am in there US? So the number comes up as a London number but you're actually called America x be careful folks!!

just reported 2 x £ 19.95 taken out of my account without permission 1 week apart. Clearly the FCA should be stopping this fraudulent activity as it seems to have gone on for years. The police cannot do anything, banks can only refund money wrongly debited from an account, but short term the FCA needs to pull its finger out.

My son has had about 10 deductions from his account through ML Portal after applying for a loan. He got a refund through his bank, but as he agreed to the terms and conditions the bank has taken back the money. He has now changed his bank card and no more deductions have come out. Has anybody managed to get a refund back through the Portal company.

You will find that if you have entered your account details into a payday loan site ( even if you did not or where refused a loan) the payday loan company will have passed your details on to third party loan companies or credit brokers. You have given your details over. Your bank will not refund you but can cancel your card and recommend you phone the company and demand a refund under the 2004 Distance Marketing Regulations. Keep a eye on your account and act swiftly.

Points taken, hwever, I N EVER applied for a loand, nor handed my details to anyone. The only peoplewho have my credit card details are PayPal as I on ly use the card for ebay and amazon purchases.The card itslef never leaves my home so cannot have been cloned and this happened a couple of days after I had a refund from an unsaisfactory purchaase. One of the withdrawals which Portal ML made was for "Gas Safety" Yes, your guess is as good as mine.The loan company in question was Bluebead, so remember the name as they quote A TYPICAL EXAMPLE. . £600 borrowed over 18 months will cost you £2,400. They quote interest rates of up to 1,926% so who in their right mind would apply? Well, in my case it was the cretin who has appropriated my identity and if Portal B are to be believed, they charge !.95 for every time someone alies for a loan, so it would seem that my doppelganger has applies for three ,oans andsome credit connected with Gas Safety.I will keep on digging intilI find the answers

I've had 8 payments of 19.95 taken from my credit card between 17th August 17 and 6th September 17. 3 of them on 1 day. My credit card provider has refunded and issued a new card. I have no idea how they got my details I have not applied for any loans and I had not used the card in the month before the first transaction? 4 of the transactions had 02035985066 Also Nos. 02035985960, 02035985081 & 83

I've just realised I've had 19.95 taken out my account. When applying for loans the other night I was naive and put in my details. The money according to Barclays is still in process of being transferred to the merchant so I can't cancel it or dispute it until it leaves my account.

Portal have taken 19.95 from me in June so I spoke to my bank and they never actually did anything about it Today and yesterday they have take. 56.95 and 19.95 This company is a scam that they say we have signed up to and the take 19.95 per month, we'll what's with the the 56.95 and 19.95 in 2 days , so stupid I have reported it to the fraud team who are now on control of it and have recognised it as fraudulent , I should get a refund once the pending had cleared which will take a couple of days plus they will issue me a new card They then pursue the company by contacting them directly Hope this helps other people who have been scammed by these con artists

4 x £19.95 taken from my account
I have had four payments taken from my account. From Portal A, Portal B, Portal CP and another one. I reported it to my bank and their visa dispute team is looking into it. Unfortunately these Portal people have produced bogus documentation which shows me authorising payments at times when I was on holiday, driving to work and even asleep! I am still struggling to get the money back!

Exactly the same. Initially my banks debit card dispute team refunded the 3x£19.95 amounts and I thought that was it. A month later they wrote me to say the company (Credit Portal) had sent them proof (which they sent me a copy of) that I had applied for a Credit Report which costs £19.95 a month, and if I couldn't provide proof that I hadn't applied for this then they would release the payments back to Portal. I sent the bank detailed copies of all the different companies run from the same address with the same sole director and sheets of paper containing complaints by people who had suffered the same. The copied sheets from Portal had no company heading and was very unprofessionally typed. There were many discrepencies of which I supplied the bank with details, but the main point of my submission of a fraudulent transaction was that I would NEVER apply for a credit ref. costing £19.95 a month when I knew of plenty of agencies I could use costing nothing!!

Despite providing my bank dispute team with details, today I have had another letter from them which is worded exactly like the first, so they have completely ignored everything I sent them and prefer to accept the word of an obviously "iffy" company, to a customer of theirs of over 35 years standing. I am seriously considering moving my banking business elsewhere as I am disgusted with their treatment.

I am with the Nationwide Building Society and their visa debit team have a checklist and unfortunately all the dodgy paperwork from credit portal must have ticked all the right boxes. Although initially the bank refunded the money they are now taking it back out of my account and have suggested I take the matter up with the retailer! I am now taking it to the Fraud Team and if I don't have any luck then I am taking all my accounts (and those of other family members) to another bank who I feel will better protect my money!

Now seeing all these complaints I would imagine that our Key banks would have identified a problem and got their fraud squad to clean it up. With Lloyds a complaint about payments taken out fraudulently resulted in a letter from their Dispute section stating that these thriving gits are going to be paid the so called payments. So a visit bank manager who agrees with complaint and all evidence supplied, rings Dispute Section in Dumfries to complain and she is told she cannot make a complaint as she works for Lloyds, needless to say we now have a mega unhappy manager and the battle continues. Keep complaining they will disappear, but you know this company will show up under another banner.

Just contacted the Fraud Team at Nationwide who were unable to take the matter on as the Visa Dispute team had declined it due to the fact that the company were able to provide my name, address, e-mail address, mobile phone number and card number. All the other information was complete fabrication but apparently this is all they need for the Banks to believe them. The Nationwide confirmed that they are aware of this company and have had to deal with the same issues in the past - why aren't they doing anything about it. I don't have an overdraft facility with this account and there was no money in it. Why then did they allow visa transactions to be processed making me overdrawn? If I'd used my card to get money out of the cashpoint, pay for groceries, DD, SO or paid cheques they would have all been declined/rejected? I think there is a flaw with the banking system!

If you have withdrawals still coming out of your account contact your Bank and cancel your card first of all. Then instruct your Bank not to allow any more transactions to these people. Try your Bank's Visa Dispute team and I wish you the best of luck! I am taking the matter up with the Financial Conduct Authority and the Ombudsman because I am determined not to let these people take our hard earned cash!

I have just discovered that I was charged multiple times the amount of 19.95 since August. In October I was charged 59.95, which is 3x19.95 twice within two weeks. I have no idea who the company is and never signed up for anything. It is clearly a fraud. I have just contacted my bank Nationwide, and cancelled my Visa because these payments are visa transactions. The bank will refund these transactions pending on proving that this is a fraud and are launching a ‘dispute’ thing with visa which investigates suspected frauds. For all those affected, if it’s a credit or debit card transaction, treat it as if your card details were stolen and cancel your card asap. These are common criminals and thieves. I hate this.

Agree totally, cancel the card and make sure your bank helps out as it is obviously fraud. Scammers can gather some details about you (ref. the tv add warning about using images etc that have been posted on social media websites) and if your bank does not believe the evidence, then time to move banks...

I recieved a letter yesterday from my Bank stating there was fraudulent activity with my account, turns out a company called Portal, have tried on numerous occasions to withdraw money from my account, & every time they were unsuccessful, they would try again with a different name......heres a few the bank mentioned Portal A.....Portal CC.....Portal BE & Portal B......now the account they tried to withdraw from as not been used for over a year, as I experienced a similar problem in 2016 with the same company. So no I haven't lost any money, however had there been money In the account I would of been fleeced the same as you all. What makes me angry is my Bank pin pointed that I had the same problem last year..lol God knows how your meant to stop these fraudsters if the one place you think your money is safe (Bank) let it go on (
