I've just found out I've been charged £27 over the last 2 months by this text number. I called EE only to find out the number belongs to a 'Glamour services' company. EE were excellent and have cancelled my so-called subscription and refunded the costs for these unwanted messages.

Skybytes
I have just seen a weekly debit of 3.75 attached to my EE mobile bill. EE knew next to nothing about it and claimed I had to speak to the company itslef about a refund!! EE did confirm it said 'Glamour Services'. It's a company called SkyBytes, based on Surrey, UK. I have no idea how they were allowed to start taking my money and they offered a refund straight away ... by Postal order or Paypal?!?! I demanded to know who they were and how they got my information, but they simply said 'you must have signed up for something'. Absolutely sneaky ba****ds. Fingers crossed for a cheque refund - who the hell uses those anymore?! I also complained to EE on how they can let such a scam operate through them.

I've just been stung with 2 £4.50 texts from them, plus 10p text to stop them. I've called Virgin Mobile regarding this and they're refusing to refund me the money, accusing me of signing up to it, and recommending that I call them to ask for a refund. Yeah! as if they're going to send a refund.

Sky bytes
I pride myself on not falling for scams but somehow these b######s have billed me for 4x texts at £4.50 each! Virgin don't want to know as apparently it's my fault for giving my details to something but nobody seems to know what the something is!!! Called sky bytes themselves and got some woman who because I called on Sunday evening couldn't access any useful information about my subscription! I'm gonna call them Monday, in hours to tear them a new arsehole.

Hi I have the same problem. Number 70004682 already charged me £27 (6 x £4.50) for the past few weeks. I noticed it just now, today. Can you please tell me Anon what is the number to that company responsible for this? So I could phone them and ask for a refund. Because I'm with Virgin, and you wrote they were unhelpful, so I expect the same when I will phone them tomorrow. Is it just this number - 70004682 - I should phone, or some other? Will I be charged again just for phoning this number? I'm worried that the answer is yes, and the rate they charge is unknown..

Little B@st@rds
I'v ebeen charged £76.50 over the past 4 months from this company "glamour content". I'm with BT Mobile and they asked me to google "ee third party". Choose the first option in google and type in the number 700046824, press ENTER. It gives you a number to call which is 01883 577013. I rang them and they openly admitted to taking the money and offered a refund straightaway. They didn't even ask for the amount to refund so they clearly have a running total at their end as to what they charged me for. B@ST@RDS! They are paying back into my paypal acc. I hope this helps other people get their money back.

Thanks so much for that information, very helpful. I've just had the same issue. £3.75 added to my EE bill without permission. They too offered to refund via PayPal and have someone call me back in a few days time to explain the who's and the why's. I'd be interested to understand why EE alow signups without consent and also know what their kickback is.

I have also just realised that Glamour Content has been extorting money from me to the tune of £54.00 so far. After extensive live chat conversations with BT mobile it would appear that BT condone this - or at least turn a blind eye. In fact they effectively blamed me for it happening as, at the outset of my contract with them, I failed to instruct them to turn off the ability to contact (or be contacted by?) premium rate providers. I have never opened any of the texts - it appears that simply being the recipient is enough for £4.50 to be stolen from you. Sweet.....

SCAMMED
I've been receiving texts from this bunch for months and just deleted them. I didn't realise that I'd been getting charged for them for at least 6 months. EE were adamant that I must have signed up to this which I know I haven't. EE have refunded me 3 months worth and I now have to chase skybytes for the rest. EE are now reporting all these 3rd party charges that have resulted in a complaint to OFCOM. Hopefully they'll be hammered with a large fine and closed down
