persistent caller
This number has been ringing my mobile for about a month now. Up to 3 or 4 times a day. I never answer as I have no idea who it is. Last call was 3 days ago so hopefully they have accepted that their calls will not be answered.

Telephone Preference Service
I got this call about 5 minutes ago, she said she was from the telephone preference service and that they had received a high number of complaints in my immediate area and asked if I was getting nuisance calls too, I said "yes, a lot of them". I have spoken to the TPS on quite a few occasions and there has never been background noise of other people talking on phones so I asked her if she was about to try and scam me - the phone went dead in a split second!

Incessant calls at all times
I don't answer calls when I don't know the number. Incessant calls will definitely not change anything except I might report the caller as a nuisance. If one doesn't answer and the caller doesn't leave any message, surely it is a clear indication that it is an unwanted call.

PPI Fraud
My dad has paid out about £3500 over a few months to a PPI fraud calling from this and other numbers (02032906738 and 02032908394). Promised cheques starting at £11,000 then £13,000 now £16,000 if he keeps sending them cash via UKASH. Not sure what they say to him but he`s hooked and won`t believe us, his bank or the police when we tell him it`s a fraud. Names they give him are Nick Carter, Jim Morrison and Paul Simon. You can never get directly through, you leave a message & they call back if they think you`re one of their gullible victims! He is now penniless.

Now calling themselves Hayes Asset Management
This is a real company in Rochester New York, and not based in London. Very rude when said they were wasting my time and theirs. Calling a TPS registered number, so breaking the law. Obviously a really good start for a company purporting to look after your money!

Got some resolution - a contact number that works!
I am an o2 user. They were in effect useless at dealing with the issue but did give me a contact number that got through to real people - 02071369911. The service provider would appear to be Jamster who sell ringtones, wallpapers etc. Quite simply if you pop your phone number onto one of their sites it will then text you at a cost and subscribe you to their service. Getting rid of it thereafter will be difficult and only occur if you spot the charges. If you do respond with the STOP message please ensure that you remove any text signatures you have otherwise it will not work.

Stop calling!!!
This number calls every day sometimes twice. The phone rings once and then is disconnected. They obviously want us to ring them back probably at some vastly costly call rate. Well they can think again and bugger off.

scam- upsetting old people
Rang my elderly mum and said they has £3000 for her in a cheque...couldn't send it and wanted someone to call personally with it???? They asked her to confirm her date of birth....but asked her for it??? which sadly she fell for it and gave them her date of birth not the other way around. Now worried in case they use her full details for identity fraud. I,ve tried to ring number back and its unavailable for some reason? Beware

Had a call from the above today claiming working for behalf of Microsoft calling re error report, when i was very defensive to the Indian lady stating "what is the name of company ECT you shouldn't have my number" a English man came on the phone stating he is from www ( world wide web) i continued arguing with him about being a fraudulent company his reply was im not going to argue with stupid people and then disconnected the phone. Nice!!! Don't be fooled and if you have given any passwords or details then I suggest you change them all and keep a close eye on your bank account.

Fake Microsoft Windows Scammer
Fake "Microsoft Support" scammer with (usually) an Indian-sounding voice, but with a typically familiar English-sounding name like "John Smith"! -) They attempt to gain your trust by quoting a code that is common to every computer running Microsoft Windows, the "CLSID code". This code ends with 00CO4FD7062. Once they have gained your trust they will attempt to get you to type instructions into your computer allowing them control of it. Once they have control of it they can use it for spamming, key-loggers can learn your passwords to your bank account and e-mail accounts and so forth.

accident query. May have wanted me to make a claim
I think she said she was phoning from 'consumer research' and then wondered had I been in an accident recently. I told her she had been misinformed (she seemed to mean a sort of tripping up type of accident, not a car one) and she sounded puzzled and asked if, perhaps, a family member had been in one rather than me. No I said and that was the end of the call. I was under the impression she was being trained up (someone else was in the background) and wondered if she was as much a victim of a scam as maybe I could have been.

I have had several calls from this number despite being ex-directory. I have now reported it to my telephone service provider TalkTalk, who will investigate and if necessary ban the number from their networks. I have also reported the number to the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) website where you can give them the details of the nuisance calls.
